Infant Room 1A Schedule

*This schedule is flexible based on the children’s needs. For example, if a child needs an extra nap or a bottle during these times, we will accommodate those needs into the daily schedule. At diapering times, all children will be checked. They will also be changed at any other time throughout the day if required.

6:30-8:30 – Children are arriving. They will be dropped off in room 6 (or another room depending on how many children are present), and play at centers.

8:30-8:45 – Get ready for snack. Children should get washed up, and the room should be tidy before sitting down for snack. The children’s diapers should be changed at this time.

8:45-9:15 – Self serve snack. Morning snack will be brought to each room. Children will serve themselves, if developmentally appropriate, with assistance from the caregivers as needed.

9:15-11:15 – Free play. Children may choose what they would like to play with and those that require a nap may rest at this time. All children under 12 months will sleep in a crib. During this time we will also go outside or to the gym (weather permitting).

11:15-11:30 – Get ready for lunch. Children should get washed up, and the room should be tidy before sitting down for lunch. The children’s diapers should be changed at this time.

11:30-12:00 – Self serve lunch. Lunch will be brought to each room. Children will serve themselves, if developmentally appropriate, with assistance from the caregivers as needed.

12:00-12:15 – Clean up from lunch. Children get washed up.

12:15-2:30 – Quiet time. Children will lay on their mats and have a nap. Children under 12 months will sleep in a crib.

2:30-3:00 – Wake up. The lights will be turned on and children will wake up on their own. The children’s diapers should be changed as they wake up.

3:00-3:30 – Self serve snack. Afternoon snack will be brought to each room. Children will serve themselves, if developmentally appropriate, with assistance from the caregivers as needed.

3:30-5:30 – Free play. The children’s diapers should be changed at this time. Children combine in mixed age groups in the gyms or outside (weather permitting) until parents arrive.
